Coming from the deep South (USA), I have seen many versions of "isms" and "ists". Sex-ism and Sex-ists, Race-ism and Race-ists, etc.
Now a new and creepier (creepier?) form of ism/ist is slithering its way into the world.
So, I wanna know:
If you are predjudice against a certain art style, does it make you a stylist? If by labeling (such a nasty habit) are you into Style-ism? I have heard of some wacky thangz, but predjudice against an art style? Holy Crap-a-roni!
What's next? Oh wait...people who hate how some part thier hair = Part-ists? What about people who hate men with bald spots? Bald-ism? Bald-ists? Don't forget those pesky people who hate people who hate people. One dose of them will rip a black hole in time and space...
I feel that far too much time is wasted on labeling (and hating). True, some feel the need to belong to a "click" or "group", and still others feel it may validate themselves to label who they are and what they like to do. For myself, it seems like an action that completely pulls focus from what we all seem to want to do: CREATE AND BE IN A WORLD THAT WON'T JUDGE US
Oh well. My soapbox is creaking after I ate that last fat filled burger, and my drawing pad lies near. All that's left is to put in a DVD and my evening is complete...
Cheers, World!
